Dr. Kathleen Arnold Door County Healing Center

Dr. Kathleen Arnold

Dr. Kathleen Arnold purchased Nelson Healing Center in 2017, and Door County Healing Center was born. She graduated from Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa. Her primary clinical focus is on the pre/post-natal and pediatric demographic. She is certified in functional medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine, and in clinical nutrition through the state of Wisconsin, is licensed in the Webster’s Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and has formal training and experience as a birth and labor doula. Dr. Kathleen utilizes an integrative model of chiropractic care and clinical nutrition that is uniquely tailored to each patient. Dr. Kathleen’s greatest joy is working with children from birth. She believes there is no greater time to set an individual on the path to health than at an early age.

Dr. Melissa Nelson Door County Healing Center

Dr. Melissa Nelson

Dr. Melissa Nelson graduated from Logan College in St. Louis, Missouri.  She has been a pioneer in Door County for her work in natural medicine and holistic health care. She strives to enhance her patients’ mental, emotional, structural balance and internal chemistry, through chiropractic care, a healthy diet, clinical nutrition, detoxification, and Neuro-Emotional technique.  Over the past 38 years she has witnessed generations of families throughout the community benefit from natural medicines, transformational healing, and wellness care. Dr. Nelson’s belief that by providing enough education, support and care, any person can change the course of their lives: from “dis-ease” to wellness and thriving in all areas of life.

Mary Houser attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and earned her degree as a Registered Dietician. She is well versed in nutrition for all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Her true passion is working with children and young adults to build a
healthy foundation in diet and nutrition. She has over 5 years experience in nutrition program development and public speaking. Mary provides a patient centered approach to allow her patients to feel better, love the food they eat and develop
long-lasting techniques for optimal health. Mary will be accepting new patients this September, 2019. We are so excited to welcome her to our expanding team at Door County Healing Center and look forward to the healthy change she will help us create in our community!
