Upcoming and Ongoing in November

New opportunities for boosting your health and wellness are now featured throughout the fall and winter months at Nelson Healing Center in Sturgeon Bay.

Detoxification and Lifestyle Support

Detox at Nelson Healing Center in Sturgeon Bay, Door County

“I want to thank everyone who attended our Detoxification Boot Camps and send out a congratulations to those participants are making a commitment to better their health and wellbeing by choosing to begin the 10-day or 28-day Clear Change Detoxification Program,” says Dr. Nelson. “Don’t miss out on the wonderful collection of plant-based recipes that we have archived here on our website.”

Exploring just one new recipe each week can lead to the change that is needed to create a new lifestyle. Food is our first medicine. Adding new, healthy, colorful foods can radically improve your health and begin to expand your dietary changes.

We see amazing results among participants in our seasonal detox programs:

  • reversing Type 2 diabetes,
  • weight loss averaging from 12-20 pounds,
  • increased energy and vitality,
  • clearing bloat and skin issues,
  • as well as reductions in chronic pain and inflammation.

This program works and we are here to support you in making significant and positive lifestyle changes. The programs will remain available through mid-November and will then resume in springtime.

If you are interested, please call the clinic at 920.818.0045 to learn more or to begin one of the programs.

Each week, you are invited to attend a variety of freewill, donation-based classes including meditation, yoga, gong and Tibetan singing bowl sessions.

Meditation on Thursdays

meditation

More than 3,000 scientific studies have shown the benefits of meditation. On Wednesdays, Dr. Nelson welcomes beginners and advanced practitioners to join her in learning about breath and meditation through practice from Noon to 1 pm.

Yin Yoga and Gong Meditation on Mondays

The Sound of Yin Yoga

The Gong is a sacred and ancient instrument of healing, rejuvenation, and transformation. It is a vehicle that allows you an easy transit into meditation. Christine Zimonick is a sound therapist and a certified Yin Yoga instructor.

On Mondays Christine provides two opportunities to experience a blend of yoga, meditation and the sounds of the gong. At Noon, she provides meditation sessions enhanced by the sounds of gong and Tibetan singing bowls. Monday evenings, from 6 – 7:30 pm she invites anyone to attend sessions of Yin Yoga with Gong Meditation. She encourages participants to bring a blanket, pillow, eye pillow and a yoga mat if you have one.

If you have questions, please call Julia at the front desk 920.818.0045. Nelson Healing Center is located at 44 S. 2nd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay. Find out about additional ongoing yoga classes and more under our Classes and Events page.
